Concept
The book “All Design” uses images within the body of the text, resembling typography more than they do a photo. The diversity of the images used by the authors was the reason not to present them next to the text in a large scale. Therefore, we decided to set the images in a very small size. The new technique of composing images this way allowed the reader a visual flow, undisturbed, during reading. The small size of the images allows them to see the picture, keep it in memory and then see it again in a bigger scale at the end of the book where all of them are collected and presented in form of a lexicon. The reader has the freedom of two different reading options – reading the text from the front of the book while picking up the little images along the way or starting at the end of the book, and by going through the images, then discovering a fascinating documentation.
