Concept

The book presents the two semester-works of the architecture master course of Harry Gugger at the EPFL. The three-part structure concept of the book reflects laba’s methodology:

Part one [Analysis] presents a detailed, inter-disciplinary analysis of the region.

Part two [Trip] documents a six-day field trip in the region.

In part three [Projects] architectural projects of the students are presented.

The three parts allow three different layouts and designs. The first part is like an atlas, the second part like a photography book and the third part is the combination of part one and two. This structure supports the reader to focus on the different aspects of teaching.
