Concept

“Buchner Bründler Buildings” is the first monograph of Basel based architects Daniel Buchner and Andreas Bründler.

The book is structured into three main parts: A text part with interviews, that also works as an extended index by highlighting key words that are linked to images of the projects. This index gives the reader an associative approach to the content of the book. The second part is the main part, with sixteen selected projects that features generous picture sequences and fold out pages with plans. The last part is the archive of the entire work of Buchner Bründler including built and unbuilt projects, layouted like an atlas mixing different sources of information. The pictures focus not only on the whole building but also on the surfaces and materiality, the space and context of the building.
